Choose one or many pictures and set a width and height, a percentage or a social media size. Download them one by one or as a zip. Nothing is uploaded.

Set by the width
Higher keeps more detail and makes a bigger file. 85 to 92 is a good balance.

Free, no sign-up. It runs in your browser: your files and text never leave your device.

How resizing a picture works

Resizing changes how many pixels a picture has. Making it smaller gives a lighter file that loads fast and fits a platform's size; making it bigger cannot add detail that was never there, it only stretches the pixels. When you keep the shape, changing the width changes the height by the same proportion, so nothing looks squashed.

Platforms ask for particular sizes: a 1080 x 1350 pixel portrait for an Instagram post, 1080 x 1920 for a Story or Reel, 1200 x 630 for a link preview. Choose Social size and pick one, and the picture is cropped to fill it, fitted with bars, or stretched, whichever you choose.

How to resize an image

  1. Choose your pictures, or drop them on the box. You can add up to 30 at a time.
  2. Pick how to resize: exact pixels (keep the shape or not), a percentage, or a social media size.
  3. Choose the format (same as the original, JPG, PNG or WebP) and the quality.
  4. Download each picture, or all of them in one zip.

Questions people ask

How do I resize a picture without losing quality?

Make it smaller rather than bigger, and save as PNG or at a high JPG quality (90 or more). Enlarging a picture cannot add detail.

What size should an Instagram post be?

1080 x 1350 pixels (4:5) shows the most on the feed. Square posts are 1080 x 1080 and Stories and Reels are 1080 x 1920. Choose Social size to use these.

Can I resize many pictures at once?

Yes, up to 30 at a time, all with the same settings, and download them together as a zip.

What does Crop to fill mean?

The picture is scaled until it covers the whole new size and the parts that stick out are cut off. Fit with bars keeps the whole picture and adds bars of a colour you choose.

Are my pictures uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens inside your browser on your own device. Your pictures are never sent to a server, so it also works for private photos.
